After graduating from college in 1966, Lenwood worked for NCR Corporation through 1975.It was then that Lenwood began his insurance career with American United Life and Shenandoah Life.In 1979 he formed the Dennis Company and in 1982 merged with Snyder-Roberts and Dennis Insurance Agency, now operating in 2009 as Dennis Insurance Group. Lenwood is a member of the National and the Triad Association of Health Underwriters and the Association of Health Insurance Agents.He is a member of the NCBS of NC Hall of Fame, a three time former member of the BlueCross BlueShield of NC Broker Advisory Council, and a past member of the UnitedHealthCare Broker Advisory Council.He is the past president of the Board of Directors and has served as the second vice-president at the Industries of the Blind. He is currently Chairman of the Board for Industries of the Blind. Lenwood is an active member of the Greensboro Lions Club, having served as President in 1986-1987 and again from 2004-2005.He founded and serves as President of the Greensboro Lions Foundation, Inc., a tax exempt charitable foundation for the purposes of Lionism.He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Greensboro Country Club.He is a Pi Kappa Phi Alumnus and is a North Carolina State Wolfpack Club Representative.He is past Chairman of the Board of Piedmont State Bank. Lenwood grew up in Durham, North Carolina and moved to Greensboro in 1966.He and his wife, Carolyn, reside in North Greensboro. Their daughter, Danielle and son-in-law, Herb resides in Greensboro and work at the agency.Lenwood enjoys ACC sports, walking and golf.
